On-Site Setup
Use this guide when planning LIQA capture in clinics, salons, booths, kiosks, or other controlled on-site environments. A stable setup helps users capture clear, consistent images and reduces retakes caused by device position, lighting, or camera quality.
Lighting Setup
Good lighting is one of the most important factors for reliable image capture and downstream analysis quality.
Recommended lighting:
- Use a dedicated light source close to the device camera or around it, such as a ring light around a tablet or phone.
- Keep the face evenly lit from the front.
- Use the same lighting setup for repeat captures, especially before/after comparison workflows.
Requirements for the light source:
- Color temperature: 5000-5500K, which is close to daylight.
- Color accuracy: CRI 95+ when available.
- Placement: close to the device camera or evenly around it.
- Output: bright enough to light the face evenly without glare or overexposure.
Avoid:
- Too dark environments.
- Strong overhead light, because it can create shadows under the eyes and affect skin-related analysis.
- Strong side light, because it can create uneven shadows across the face.
- Mixed-light conflicts, such as booth lighting plus strong venue ceiling lights with different color temperatures.
- Blue or cold lighting.
- Direct glare, reflections, or harsh shadows.
For booths or fixed installations, control the environment when possible. If overhead venue lighting interferes with the capture setup, use booth design elements such as a roof, hood, or shade to reduce mixed lighting.
LIQA Lighting Configuration
Use required-lighting to decide how strict LIQA should be during live capture.

For most controlled setups, start with default. For desktop, kiosk, or booth setups where users may be constrained by fixed hardware or venue lighting, consider adaptive before disabling lighting validation.
On-Site, Embedded, and Kiosk Setup
For on-site environments such as clinics, stores, salons, booths, or kiosks:
- Prefer a modern smartphone or tablet with a high-quality camera.
- Use the back camera when a specialist or fixed booth flow controls capture.
- Keep the device fixed at a comfortable face height when possible.
- Test the exact target device, browser/WebView, lighting, camera, and booth setup before launch.

For on-site setups, pay special attention to:
- Use devices that meet the recommended LIQA requirements, not only the minimum ones.
- Prefer devices with high-quality front and back cameras with autofocus.
- For tablet booth setups, validate the exact tablet model before launch.
- For Android devices, check performance carefully because real-time AI guidance depends on available CPU/GPU/NPU resources and RAM.
- Avoid desktop capture for production on-site flows unless the camera, lighting, and fixed device position have been tested and approved.
